Umoupen
Animate and Draw
Latest version: Beta v0.9.54 (build 552)
What are the trial limitations?
Projects cannot be saved, so trial work is lost when you close the app. Image and animation exports have a faint “Made in Umoupen” watermark, and gallery symbols cannot be exported.
Recommended specs
Use an Apple Silicon Mac or a Windows PC with a dedicated GPU and at least 2 GB VRAM. Integrated graphics are not recommended on Windows. Use the free trial to check performance on your computer before buying.
On Windows laptops with NVIDIA or AMD graphics, set Umoupen to High performance in Windows Graphics settings.
Requires Windows 10 or 11, or macOS 12 or later.

Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026. These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Umousoft Ltd for your use of Umoupen and its public forum. By downloading, installing, using Umoupen, or creating a forum account, you agree to these terms.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides payment-related customer service and handles returns. Purchases made through another authorised reseller, including Gumroad, are also subject to the terms shown by that reseller at checkout.
1. Definitions
"Software" refers to the Umoupen application, including all updates and documentation. "Licensor" refers to Umousoft Ltd, the creator and copyright holder of Umoupen. "You" refers to the individual or entity accepting this agreement.
2. Grant of Licence
Subject to the terms of this agreement, the Licensor grants You a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Software under the standard terms or, where required, commercial organisation terms.
3. Standard Use
Standard use is available to individuals, and to organisations whose total revenue in the previous 12 months did not exceed $5,000,000 USD. Freelance and commercial work is included. If your organisation passes that figure, you must move to Umoupen Studio within 30 days; if your revenue later falls back below it, standard use applies again.
4. Commercial Organisation Use
Organisations that do not qualify for standard use must purchase Umoupen Studio, at $100 USD per seat per year: one seat per person using the Software, with each seat activating one computer. Seats may be added at any time, and a seat may be moved to a replacement computer. Studio access is an annual subscription; if it lapses, a grace period applies before the Software reverts to trial mode, and files you have already created remain yours and openable. Contact the Licensor for volume discounts or invoiced purchase orders.
5. Restrictions
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software. You may not redistribute or sublicense the Software itself. Output created with the Software (animations, artwork, etc.) is owned by You and may be used without restriction.
6. Intellectual Property
The Software and all associated intellectual property rights are and remain the property of the Licensor. This agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to You.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated. The Licensor may terminate this agreement immediately if You breach any of its terms. Upon termination, You must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies.
10. Community Forum
Forum accounts are for people aged 18 or older. You retain ownership of content you post and grant Umousoft Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and promote the forum. You must follow the Community Guidelines. We may review, move, hide, preserve, or remove content; lock topics; and restrict accounts for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement. Reading does not require an account, and forum availability is not guaranteed.
11. Forum Reports and Appeals
You may report content through the forum without an account. To appeal a moderation decision, email hello@umoupen.app with the affected topic and decision. Do not use the forum for pornography, sexualised depictions of minors, graphic gore, illegal content, threats, harassment, hate, doxxing, spam, malware, impersonation, or rights infringement.
12. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Privacy Notice

Information we process
When you visit this website or public forum, our hosting systems may process technical logs such as your IP address, browser, requested page, and time of access. The site stores a language-selection preference in your browser. The embedded Discord community widget may process information under Discord's own privacy policy.
If you create a forum account, we process your encrypted email address, keyed email index, handle, display name, language, session and acceptance records, 18-or-over attestation time, posts, image attachments, topic subscriptions, notifications, reports, and moderation history. We store a secret-derived identifier for abuse limits rather than the raw client IP. An optional Buyer badge stores a keyed licence identifier, source, tier, and expiry; the submitted licence key is not retained. Public posts and profiles are visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines.
When you buy Umoupen, the checkout provider processes your payment details. We may receive your name or email address, transaction identifier, product, purchase status, tax location, and refund or chargeback status. We do not receive or store your complete card or PayPal credentials.
For licence delivery, recovery, and activation, we process transaction and licence status, cryptographic hashes of licence and email identifiers, and machine-bound activation records. Raw Paddle licence keys and customer email addresses are not written to our licence state store. If you contact support or submit a crash report, we process the information you choose to provide.
Why we process it
We use this information to provide and secure the website and Software, complete our contract with you, deliver and validate licences, answer support requests, prevent abuse, process refunds, and meet legal obligations. Our legal bases are contract, legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Umoupen, as applicable.
Sharing and retention
We share information only as needed with service providers such as Paddle for checkout, Resend for transactional email, hosting providers, and authorities where legally required. Existing Gumroad purchases remain subject to Gumroad's processing. These providers may process information in other countries using appropriate safeguards. We keep records only as long as needed for licensing, support, security, accounting, dispute handling, and legal requirements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office. Email hello@umoupen.app to make a request.
Refund Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026. Umoupen purchases have a 14-calendar-day refund window beginning on the transaction date. You may request a full refund within that window. After 14 calendar days, refunds are available only where required by law. This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights. A full refund or chargeback ends the corresponding Umoupen licence and access.
Paddle purchases
Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles payment-related support and returns. Request a refund through the receipt email or at paddle.net within 14 calendar days of the transaction. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. See Paddle's Refund Policy for processing details and any country-specific withdrawal rights.
Gumroad and other reseller purchases
Use the support or refund link in your receipt within 14 calendar days of the transaction. The reseller will process the request under the terms shown at checkout and applicable law. For product support before requesting a refund, email hello@umoupen.app.
Umoupen Studio subscriptions
The 14-day refund window applies to each annual charge, including renewals. You may cancel at any time from your receipt or by emailing hello@umoupen.app; cancelling stops future renewals and is not itself a refund. After cancelling, seats stay active until the end of the period you have paid for, followed by a short grace period, after which Umoupen returns to trial mode. Work you have already created remains yours and can still be opened.
